Make a Mug Workshop Hudson Valley InterArts April 12, 2026 | 12:00–2:00 PM
Cost: $65/pp
Create a handmade mug just in time for Mother’s Day!
Join local potter Elana Levy for a fun and relaxed handbuilding workshop where you’ll design and create your own porcelain stoneware mug from start to finish. This is a great opportunity to try ceramics in a welcoming, creative environment—no experience necessary.
Using a template, you’ll learn how to shape your mug, score and slip clay to securely attach a handle, and add decorative details. Once your mug is formed, you’ll paint it with colorful underglazes to give it your own personal touch.
After the workshop, we’ll take care of the rest. Your mug will be bisque fired and finished with a clear glaze, making it fully food safe and ready for everyday use. Pieces will be ready for pickup in approximately 3–4 weeks, and we’ll notify you when they’re ready.
Bring a friend and enjoy a creative afternoon in the studio.
BYOB — feel free to bring your favorite beverage. Light refreshments will be provided.
