Emi Night is a visual artist and songwriter from the Ohio River Valley. She holds bachelor’s degrees in painting and songwriting. She has released multiple studio albums of her original music and has toured extensively, performing on national and international tours with her band and solo music project, Strawberry Runners.
Emi discovered her passion for art and music at a young age and loves supporting artists as they embark on their own creative journeys, exploring new media and techniques. She designs projects that challenge students to look closer at the world around and within us – the wonders of nature, science, literature, movements in art, music, dance, and our complex internal worlds: dreams, thoughts, and imaginations. She believes art and music offer unique opportunities to process ideas and information and express feelings, beliefs, and stories. This expression helps us to learn about ourselves, each other, and our shared world.
Emi is currently based in the Hudson River Valley where she is a board member of the Millbrook Arts Group and Lead Art Educator at The Wassaic Project. She designs and leads art and music workshops for The Art Effect and Hudson Valley Interarts. She is eager to share her passion for art, music, and learning through her workshops, private lessons, drawing and painting groups, and drop-in art spaces throughout Dutchess County, and beyond.
