Taylor [the Tailor] was born and raised in New York. Growing up between the big city and a cozy cottage in the suburbs, with a family the size of a small town, she learned to find peace amidst chaos. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in humanities (health and wellness) from SUNY Oneonta in the Catskill mountains. During school, Taylor taught herself to sew, began designing clothing, and spread her passion for self-expression through wearable art by teaching sewing lessons. Over the last decade she has created art programs for adults and children across life's vibrant spectrum — privately and in group and community homes — and worked as a tailor in theaters all over the Northeast Coast. The common thread throughout was children: wherever she worked, Taylor had profound encounters with kids, and she took it as a sign to follow life's lead. Moving to Colorado in 2011, she dove deep into early childhood education, teaching preschool outside Denver while nannying, sharing art therapy in schools around the Front Range, and developing Rainbow Lightning — a 501(c)(3) dedicated to empowering self-expression through music, art, and nature, creating safe spaces for families and children at festivals worldwide. After ten rewarding years in the Southwest, Taylor relocated her family back East and is excited to be part of something incredible, just down the hill from where she grew up.
