Using, magazine photos, painted, textured, and scrap paper we will create magical, unique landscapes to be used as postcards, illustrations, or standalone art pieces. We will create a balance between movement and stillness in our compositions and consider how patterns and flat shapes activate the page by drawing the eye to different areas. Through nature journaling we will hone our senses and drawing skills, learning the skills of observation, perception, inquiry (asking questions), and making connections. Journaling can be adapted and used in many kinds of settings, both indoor and outdoor. *Discover a new way of seeing the world and different forms of expression *Learn more about yourself and about your environment *Self-direct as active participants in your learning experience by observing, developing curiosity, and asking questions *Deepen connections to your surroundings, through reflection and understanding.
