Welcome to Clays by Jay! I create handcrafted polymer clay earrings and small sculptures inspired by my love for art and creativity. Every piece is designed with care and a focus on unique details to make it feel truly special. My hope is to share a bit of joy and artistry with each item I make.
My name is Jay, and I create unique earrings using high-quality polymer clay. I draw inspiration from my background as an artist to design pieces that feel special and one of a kind. I love working with my hands and putting care into every detail, so each pair is something I’m proud to share. My goal is to make beautiful, wearable art that brings a little joy to anyone who wears it.

I am a former educator who has followed my passion for the arts through quilting, sewing, drawing, photography, and floral design for which I’ve received awards and ribbons for my many decades of work. I recently began experimenting with woodworking and found a new passion for incorporating designs into laser engraving. As a long-time Corgi as well as Rescue Dog Mom, it seemed to be a logical fit to focus my laser crafting on creating unique items for fellow dog- lovers.
Our centerpiece is civic engagement; reaching out to our neighbors in need across Westchester, Putnam and the Capital Region to do our part in helping our food insecure neighbors. We prepare, package and deliver non-perishable meals, all ingredients included along with directions, resulting in a hearty meal for four. We recently grew our initiatives to include Students of families who rely on school meals and are unduly stressed the 177 days schools are out of session. Our kid friendly meals are made in a microwave, all ingredients included! And we create Act of Kindness Kits for this without shelter. Everything we do is focused on helping our neighbors by reminding them they are not alone, we are all in this together. To date, in a little over three years we’ve donated approximately 60,000 individuals meals and we feel as if we’re just getting started! Each meal and kindness kit is delivered in a uniquely decorated bag to let the recipient know we are giving them with a hug of comfort.
I’m the Co-Founder/Executive Director, inspired by my delicious son who is not comfortable/compatible in traditional job settings yet has interests, passions, talents and intellect that deserve to be cultivated. We believe each of us dreams of belonging, making friends, finding sanctuary in a joyful environment where you are seen, heard, valued, respected, included and celebrated. All the while making a difference in the lives of others.

These origami charms, earrings, and necklaces are carefully handmade in Brewster. If you don’t see a type/pattern combination you want, one can be made while you shop and be ready to take home by the time you’re done.
Kyoko started folding miniature origami during class out of school handouts and old homework to keep herself occupied during lectures. Whether it helped or hindered her focus is unclear. But she got really good at tiny origami.
