One of Krista’s signature offerings is her Music & Movement class. Here, participants learn fundamental music skills such as maintaining a steady beat, playing songs unaccompanied, and engaging with pre-recorded tracks through karaoke sessions. Everyone has the chance to play instruments and sing, creating a lively and supportive atmosphere. This class is a testament to the belief that music is a universal language, accessible to all.
Krista’s theater classes are equally dynamic. Students are immersed in the world of theater, where they prepare to put on full performances, telling stories and dancing to musical numbers. “The students have been loving it,” Krista notes, emphasizing the excitement and energy that fills each session. With a new theater production in the works, participants are eager to showcase their talents and share their passion with the community.
“I love working with this group. They’re so excited to be here, be silly, and have fun. I don’t have to do a lot of coaxing. We just love to have fun and we’re all about expressing ourselves.”
Krista has exciting plans for the future. One of her goals is to collaborate with local schools, performing classic children’s stories adapted into engaging productions. This initiative aims to further integrate the community into the arts, offering young audiences the chance to experience the magic of live theater. “It is an absolute joy to come here and make art every week,” Krista says with a smile. “I genuinely love it and look forward to it.
